Day 01: Arrive Mangalore - Bekal (50 Kms / 1.5 Hrs)
Meet & greet upon arrival at Mangalore Airport and then you will drive to Bekal. Check in to your hotel. Evening proceed for visit the Bekal Fort. This fort is the largest and the best-preserved fort in Kerala. The sea bastions, underground tunnels and the observation tower are impressive. The Bekal fort is located on a vast 35-acre headland that runs into the Arabian Sea.

This fort is more than 300 years old and is believed to have been built in the 1650's by Sivappa Naik of the Ikkeri dynasty. There is also another belief that it was originally built by Kolathiri Rajas and later captured by Sivappa Naik. The fort was occupied by Hyder Ali of Mysore in 1763 A.D and then the Huzur of Canara during Tipu Sultan's reign and later by the British. During the British rule, the erstwhile Bekal taluk was part of South Canara district and encompassed the present Kasaragod and Hosdurg taluks.

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own.

Day 03: Bekal - Vythiri (210 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Buffet breakfast at hotel. Later on you will drive to Vythiri. Upon arrival proceed for check-into hotel.
Far from the madding crowds Vythiri hill station in Wayanad district of Kerala is the perfect one to pass some cool moments with a loved one or family. The virgin beauty of the landscapes is always a supreme attraction to the holiday makers.
Afternoon you will proceed for sightseeing tours of following destinations:-
Tree houses - Perched on a living tree houses attract the tourists due to its unique accommodation in close association with nature. Most of the resorts and hotels of Vythiri constructed these tree houses to offer the tourist an interesting experience. The houses are made from bamboo and wood. Once staying at this tree house one will hear the chirping of the birds and other insects. The vistas of the valleys from the tree house are breathtaking. The height of the tree house is 90 feet from the ground.
Edakkal Caves - The rocky formation of the Edakkal Caves displays a unique primitive architecture. The height is less than 5 feet. While entering into the caves of Edakkal one will experience a different world unknown to us. It is said hat the carvings and itching of the caves are 5000 years old. Still it is a subject of the archeologists and historians. It is a worth visiting site at Vythiri.
The Ambalavayal Heritage Museum - Kerala tour to Vythiri includes sightseeing of the Ambalavayal heritage museum famous for its 2nd century artifacts. The main artifacts are clay sculptures, ancient hunting equipment, stone weapons, etc. One visiting this museum may have a look at the life of people two million years ago.

Day 04: Vythiri
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Today one can opt to trek around the region as there are many trekking routes. Or else, visit the Wayanad wildlife Sanctuary. Time permitting one can also visit the Sentinal Rock Waterfalls (Soochippara) a three-step waterfall more than 200 mts in height. Soochipara can be reached by a scenic 2 kms. nature walk. Also, the Wayanad Heritage Museum is worth a visit. This Museum is home to an interesting collection of art effects that shed light on the history, culture and heritage of Wayanad region.

Day 05: Vythiri - Thrissur (61 Kms/2 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel, you will proceed for Thrissur. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel.
Thrissur is known as the 'Cultural Capital of Kerala' because its cultural, spiritual and religious leanings towards history.
Afternoon proceed for visit to lord Krishna's Guruvayoor temple.
Come back to your hotel after the tour.

Day 06: Thrissur - Cochin (85 Kms/3 Hrs)
After leisurely breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Cochin. Upon arrival proceed for check-in to hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Cochin - the palm green commercial town of Kerala has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. A town with a hoary past, Cochin is the gateway to Kerala.

Day 07: Cochin
Morning enjoy your breakfast at hotel
After breakfast you will transfer to city tour of Cochin.
Visit the
Jewish Synagogue - built in 1568 AD contains Grand Scrolls of the Old Testament and the copper plates containing the privileges granted to the Jews by the Cochin rulers. The floor of the synagogue is paved with exquisite Chinese hand painted tiles. The Dutch Palace was built by the Portuguese and presented to the Cochin Raja in 1555 AD. 17th century murals depicting scenes from the Indian epic, the Ramayana can be seen here. St Francis Church, built originally by the Portuguese in 1510 AD is believed to be the first church built by Europeans in India. Vasco da Gama was originally buried here. The Chinese fishing nets can be seen at the entrance of the harbour. The Chinese through trade contact taught this technique of catching fish.
Evening transfer for Kathkali dance show
Kathkali - 'Katha' means story and 'Kali' means dance. As the name suggests Kathakali is a beautiful amalgamation of dance and drama. More precisely, Kathakali is a harmonious blend of five forms of art namely, Sahithyam (literature), Sangeetham (music), Chithram (painting), Natyam (acting) and Nritham (dance). 'Total Theatre' is the word often used to describe this highly evolved art.

Day 08: Cochin - Alleppey (60 Kms/ 2 Hrs)
After leisurely breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Alleppey. On arrival at Jetty you will embark the Houseboat and cruise along the backwater. The cruise would take you through villages, paddy fields, markets etc.

Day 09: Alleppey - Cochin & Depart
Morning you will arrive in Alleppey. Later disembark the houseboat here & depart for Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin shall transfer you to the Airport to board your flight for onward journey.
